Emergency Update for North Carolina Borrowers

If you live in a North Carolina county listed below that FEMA has designated for federal disaster assistance, and have experienced property damage from Hurricane Helene, we encourage you to reach out to ServiSolutions and your insurance company at your earliest convenience.

FEMA Declaration

Designated Counties (as of October 15, 2024): Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cherokee, Clay, Cleveland, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina, Forsyth, Gaston, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Iredell, Jackson, Lee, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Nash, Polk, Rowan, Rutherford, Stanly, Surry, Swain, Transylvania, Union, Watauga, Wilkes, Yadkin, Yancey

1. Please contact your insurance company and file a claim.

Once your claim is being processed, all checks issued from the insurance company will have ServiSolutions listed as the loss payee, as well as you, and possibly your contractor.

In order for ServiSolutions to process these checks, we will collect certain information from you, and we can then provide specific instructions on how the claim will be handled.

We encourage you to email [email protected] and report the following criteria to help speed up this process:

  • Loan #

  • Name

  • Property Address

  • Type of Loss (Fire, Wind, Hail, Water, Other)

  • Date of Loss

  • Amount of Check

  • Daytime Contact Number

  • Email Address

2. Please contact the ServiSolutions Loss Draft team.

We are sorry to hear about your loss. If you currently have any damages to your property including those from Hurricane Helene, contact your insurance carrier and make a claim. Once you receive the damage report (adjuster's scope), email our loss drafts team. Also provide a current telephone number and updated mailing address if you are unable to receive mail at the property. Please allow up to 3 business days for a response.

Have Your Insurance Claims Been Denied?

Federal disaster assistance is available to the state of North Carolina to help jumpstart recovery eforts.

You can apply for assistance in three ways:

  • Online at disasterassistance.gov
  • Call (800) 621-3362. If you use a relay service, such as video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone service or tohers, give FEMA the number for that service.
