What to Do When You're Ready to Move (on)

Do you need more room for a growing family—or a smaller place for your retirement? Are you facing a job change? Marriage or divorce? There are many reasons why you might consider moving from a home you own.
The average American moves approximately 11.7 times in a lifetime, according to consumeraffairs.com. If it's time for you to make a change, there are two emails you need to send to ServiSolutions to keep the moving-on drama to a minimum.
- Request your payoff statement at [email protected] so you’ll know the exact amount required to “satisfy” your mortgage—to pay your loan in full.
- Update your mailing address at [email protected]. When you send us your new address, we will send you four very important items:
- Satisfaction of mortgage: a document showing that your loan has been paid in full
- An escrow refund: a check to you for the amount of any leftover funds you prepaid for taxes and interest
- A “paid in full activity statement”: showing activity on your account until the time of sale
- Tax and interest statements: you’ll need these to file your income tax returns
